WHEN REMOTE MANAGEMENT
INNOVATION MEETS RESILIENCE
Test Laboratory in Aarhus.
The test laboratory in Aarhus, a project of GH Connect, LOYTEC Competence Center in Scandinavia, is a showcase project in many ways. Even though the project was finished in record time, taking only 10 weeks from ground zero to starting operation, there were no compromises made. Keeping laboratory and maintenance personnel as safe as possible is the top priority and the result was choosing LOYTEC technology.

Remote Management and ESG Benefits
The test laboratory located in Aarhus, centrally situated in Jutland, is remotely controlled from Copenhagen, approximately 250 km away, via a web-browser interface. This setup uses the LOYTEC L-IOB I/O Controller and LTE-800 Interface to monitor key status indicators, ensuring real-time oversight and reducing downtime, which is crucial for the efficiency of healthcare test laboratories.
The remote monitoring system provides comprehensive oversight of room conditions, including temperature and pressure, essential for maintaining optimal laboratory environments. It also oversees the operation of numerous refrigerators and freezers, ensuring the proper storage of sensitive materials. The control of automatic doors, HVAC systems, heat and cooling pumps, fan coils, and emergency power generators is integrated into the system, promoting operational efficiency and safety.
This advanced system significantly enhances environmental and social governance (ESG) compliance by ensuring energy efficiency and reducing the need for on-site interventions, thus lowering the facility’s carbon footprint. The centralized control of parameters such as temperature, humidity, and air circulation is critical in preventing the spread of pathogens, thereby safeguarding the health and safety of lab personnel. Furthermore, rooms designed with negative pressure isolate contaminated air until it can be safely discharged, enhancing infection control measures.
By enabling remote diagnostics and problem resolution, the system minimizes maintenance time and enhances operational continuity, aligning with sustainability goals. The comprehensive alarm and logging features further ensure that any issues are promptly addressed, supporting a proactive approach to facility management. This integration of advanced technology not only optimizes operational efficiency but also underscores the lab’s commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
Benefits.
Utilizing the LOYTEC L-IOB I/O Controller and LTE-800 Interface, critical status indicators are monitored in real-time, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing downtime. Detailed reports enhance visibility of tasks and workflows, crucial for maintaining continuous operation in healthcare test laboratories.
This setup provides comprehensive control over essential lab functions, including room conditions, HVAC systems, and emergency power generators. It ensures precise monitoring of temperature, humidity, and air circulation, which are vital for controlling pathogen spread and enhancing personnel safety. Automated systems for doors and refrigeration further streamline operations and improve security. By allowing remote diagnostics and problem resolution, the system reduces the need for on-site maintenance, saving time and resources.
Overall, the integration of LOYTEC controls in this test laboratory significantly boosts operational efficiency, safety, and reliability, making it a model for modern healthcare facilities.
Conclusion.
The test laboratory is a showcase project for energy efficient operation of a building and also the creation of a workplace that is both ecologically responsible and adheres to rigorous safety standards for your employees.
