Venue of this year's Buildings under Control Symposium is Tech Gate Vienna, the Viennese science and technology park, situated directly on the banks of the river Danube. The conference rooms on the nineteenth floor are not only equipped by the most modern standards, but in addition offer a breathtaking view of the city of Vienna.
In the immediate vicinity you find Vienna's UN-city, the Austria Centre Vienna (a large congress- and event center), the DC Towers, and the idyllic "Alte Donau", part of the former danube riverscape, with it's numerous water sports and recreational facilities.
Public transport connection is ideal as there is a subway station (line U1) directly at the foot of the Tech Gate Tower. Thus Vienna's downtown is reachable within a few minutes. Tech Gate Vienna can be seen as the archway to the „Donau City”, the most modern part of Vienna, and yet the historic town center is only a few minutes away.
